Facet Joint and You

Many people complain about a back pain of some kind. It prevents them from doing the ordinary activities that others take for granted. For example, reaching for that item on the top shelf in the kitchen can be a challenge. For some, a severe back condition can prevent them from sitting or standing for a significant amount of time.

This population generally feels like their fitness level can never be the same as those without back problems, who happily go to the gym and kick butt with all kinds of fitness classes. Is a facet joint problem going to delegate you to live the rest of your life in the fat zone? No. There is a solution.

Gentle stretching with a trainer is a start to a healthy and happy lifestyle. A certified personal trainer and certified yoga instructor has the knowledge to take you through a safe stretching program that will leave you feeling healthier and happier. Depending on the severity of the facet joint problem, you may have to live your whole life with a constant reminder that it is there. In most cases, however, yoga with a proper instructor in a one-on-one setting can alleviate a lot of pain and enable you to live a more normal life.

What Type Of Burglar Alarms Do I Need?

Carry out a simple risk assessment to decide what burglar alarm system you need. Do you need to protect your shed/garage/garden ornaments or just a single room in your house, or do you need to protect the whole house and garden?

Protecting Gardens/Sheds/Garages
If you want to protect garden ornaments and outside areas you will probably need an all weather PIR (Passive Infrared) movement detector that will trigger a chime in the house when someone walks into the area to be protected, this should be the type that is not usually activated by pets or small animals. Alternatively shed/garage alarms can be set to trigger a 130 decibel siren when activated which is usually enough to frighten away the opportunist thief immediately, as well as alerting you or your neighbour.

Protecting The Whole House
Usually domestic house alarms will be the 'Automatic Dialing' type of system which, when activated by an intruder, will call your mobile or landline numbers to inform you. You can buy a simple yet powerful alarm which will protect just a single room or a system which protects the entire property. If you decide to protect the whole house walk around the outside of your property looking for easy access points, flat roofs, weak doors/windows etc. These will be the areas a typical burglar will be looking for and will therefore require specific protection such as PIR movement sensors or magnetic door/window contacts. Consider how you would gain entry yourself, this will highlight potential entry points for intruders.

Generally a 'whole house' burglar alarm system will consist of magnetic door contacts on the front and rear doors, and possibly an internal hallway door. Additional protection is provided by adding PIR movement detectors in the hallway/landing, lounge and kitchen. Protecting the hall/landing is very important because any intruder will normally have to walk across this area when moving between rooms. If you are fitting a 'whole house' burglar alarm it is usually best to fit the entry control keypad in a convenient position in the hallway to allow you to access it easily when entering the security code to arm/disarm the system. You may want your system to include an internal entry/exit tone so you can hear and confirm that you have armed/disarmed the system. If you decide to fit an external siren this should be fitted as high as practicable, and wireless systems are best so that cables are not be visible. Wireless systems are also quick and simple to install yourself, and are available very inexpensively.

Protecting Boats and Holiday Homes Without a Telephone Line
Burglar alarms for boats and holiday homes work in much the same way as 'whole house' systems but without the specific need for a telephone line and can be powered by either 12 volt batteries or mains electricity. These alarms will usually be a system which, when activated by an intruder, will automatically dial your mobile or landline numbers through a GSM mobile sim card (no need for an additional mobile phone, the sim technology is built into the system). These boat and holiday home burglar alarm systems can auto dial you from anywhere in the world, through the mobile network, no matter where your boat or property is located.

The 8 Keys to Golf Fitness Success

If you really want to be a successful golfer, you must follow these 8 principles which are The 8 Keys to golf Fitness Success.

1.Increase your dynamic flexibility. While performing typical stretching exercises can improve static flexibility, the extreme range of motion performed during a full golf swing requires dynamic flexibility beyond the static range. That means you need a properly designed and individualized exercise program to increase dynamic flexibility where YOU need it.

2.Increase total body strength. The body will only function at a level as strong as its weakest link. If one area of your body is weak, then your performance on the golf course will be limited. For instance, weakness in the left hip will cause a right-handed golfer to slow down his swing earlier than desired which will reduce power. That means shorter drives.

3.Increase your core strength. Your core is the area of the body from the chest to the knees. This is the area where you generate all your stability, strength, and power used in the golf swing. A few stomach crunches just wont cut it. Doing exercises on a one of those big Swiss balls wont do it either. You must train the core while standing on your feet. You dont play golf lying down do you?

4.Increase your power. Power is your ability to demonstrate your strength faster. That means swinging the club faster. A faster club head speed means longer drives. All the technique work in the world wont help if you dont teach your muscles to swing faster. Speed-strength and explosive exercises are a must in this case.

5.Hit fewer balls at the driving range. Most golfers just plain enjoy hitting golf balls so they buy bucket after bucket of balls hitting as many as 200 balls during one practice period. Hitting so many balls without proper rest between each swing accelerates fatigue and increases the likelihood of an inconsistent swing or a swing fault. You need to rest at least one full minute between full swings. Remember practice does not make perfectpractice makes permanent. If you swing poorly in practice, youll swing poorly when you play.

6.Avoid excessive aerobic exercise. Heres where a lot of trainers just dont understand the science behind the physical preparation for playing the best golf. Performing aerobic exercise to increase endurance could be robbing you of your driving power because its the wrong kind of endurance for golfers. Aerobic fitness is NOT a limiting factor in your golf performance.

7.Individualize your program. You wont make progress on someone elses exercise program. Tailor your golf-conditioning program to your needs and your performance on the course will improve.

8.Hire a qualified professional to create your personalized golf-conditioning program. An experienced fitness professional can identify your specific needs and design an effective golf-conditioning program which will save you the time and the frustration which goes with random, poorly designed, cookie-cutter exercise programs.

What should you expect from your golf-conditioning program?

1.You become more teachable. Oftentimes, a golf instructor must give you advice or a swing fault correction to compensate for a physical limitation such as a lack of flexibility or poor core strength. This is also a great way to get injured. By eliminating that limitation with a proper golf-conditioning program, you can now follow your instructors advice directly without compensation and without the risk of getting hurt.

2.Your consistency will improve. Have you ever hit that perfect shot and then followed it with what may have been the worst shot you ever hit? Who hasnt? A proper golf-conditioning program will improve consistency by optimizing your flexibility, strength, and power to reproduce your ideal swing consistently.

3.Your drives will be longer. Increasing your strength and power increases your club head speed and stability. In other words, if you hit the ball harder, it goes a lot farther.

4.Your golf endurance will improve. Have you ever just run out of gas at the end of your round? A properly designed golf-conditioning program will allow you to play your 18th hole as strong as your first.

5.Your scores will improve.

A Look At The History Of Notebook Computers

A notebook computer is a term used interchangeably with laptop computers. For those of you not familiar, a notebook computer is one that is smaller and lighter than a personal computer. You can take it with you anywhere so it offers you more access to the internet, a way to watch movies, and even a way to work while you are away on business trips.

The first notebook computer was introduced in 1981 but they were very expensive and not as versatile as they are today. ibm and Epsom both placed versions of portable laptops on the market in 1983. Even with more models emerging, notebook computers were an item often associated only with high profile businessmen.

It wasn't until 1995 when microsoft introduced their operating system windows 95 that the world of notebook computers exploded. This operating system along with advances in technology that allowed notebook computers to function in the same ways as a personal computer led to them dropping in price and more consumers buying them.

Some of the improvements that occurred around this time were a better battery that no longer included acid. power saving notebook computers were introduced so the life of the battery lasted much longer. they also were now able to hold more data so they could be used for more concepts at any given time.

Today you see people of all ages carrying their notebook computers to the office, home, on airplanes, colleges, and hotels. Many public places are set up with areas for individuals to conveniently use their laptops. Since we live in such a computer age having a notebook computer can help you stay on top of things for work and pleasure no matter where you go.

You can find notebook computers in a variety of sizes and from multiple manufacturers. they come with a good price, plenty of storage capacity, and warranties. If you are in the market for a notebook computer you will have no trouble finding exactly what you are looking for.

RV's - The Best Kept Travel Secret in America

What would you say if I told you I knew the best kept secret for traveling in America? A safe, cost effective, hassle-free way to see more of this beautiful country we live in. A way to travel at your own pace, on your own schedule, while building lasting memories with your family and friends. It sound too good to be true doesnt it? Wait, it gets even better. What if I told you its not by plane, train, bus or your family automobile? Are you curious? Would you like to be let in on the secret that over 7 million households in America already discovered? If so, let me introduce you to the wonderful world of Recreation Vehicles (RVs) and camping.

I'm not talking about roughing it in the backwoods with tents and sleeping bags, not that theres anything wrong with camping like that. What I'm talking about is your home away from home. An RV is your living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom on wheels. not to mention air conditioning, satellite TV, and being able to take a hot shower. An RV offers you the freedom to roam Americas back roads and the flexibility to go whenever and wherever you want. Imagine this, you wake up one weekend on a beautiful crisp fall morning and just outside your front door is a 20-acre lake full of hungry rainbow trout. How about a two-week summer vacation 50 yards away from the tranquil sound of waves breaking on the beach, or just a Saturday afternoon tailgate party at your favorite college football game. Your RV is a private guesthouse for relatives when they come to visit and a weekend getaway to your favorite campground.

Its a 30-day cross-country history lesson. Its whatever you want it to be and best of all its fun and its safe. Perhaps this slogan used in a Go RVing advertisement sums it up the best. Waiting for the fish to bite you wonder how smart your daughter has gotten and how much your son is starting to look like you and you wonder why you never noticed until now. But you might as well head back to camp; the fish seem to be as relaxed as you are. Rediscover your family while you discover America. Wherever you go youre always at home. Go RVing was formed in 1994 by representatives of the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), Recreation Vehicle dealers Association (RVDA), national Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) and leading state RV and campground associations. Go RVing works to distribute information about the benefits of RV travel and ensure the quality of RV products and services. You can call 1-888-Go-RVing or visit the Go RVing website at www.gorving.com to get a free CD-ROM or video that will introduce you to the world of RV travel and camping.

traveling in the united States and life in general changed dramatically after the cowardly terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. A nation of people who always felt safe and secure against any type of outside threat, and a nation of travelers who never gave a second thought to their mode of transportation are now weary about what to expect next. RV travel, already at an all time high, is more appealing since the tragic events of 9/11. Recognized travel authority and former President of RVIA, Mr. David J. Humphreys had this to say, "Families want to escape to America's outdoors in these uncertain times, spend quality time together, and avoid hassles associated with flyingall long-term trends likely to sustain continued RV market growth."

U.S. ownership of RVs has reached record levels, reveals a 2005 University of michigan study commissioned by Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). Nearly one in 12 u.s. vehicle-owning households now owns an RV. That's nearly 8 million householdsa 15 percent increase during 2001-2005 and a 58 percent gain during 1980-2005. The study also stated demographic trends favor substantial RV market growth. As baby boomers enter their prime RV buying years over the next decade, the number of RV-owning households is projected to rise to nearly 8 million in 2010, a gain of 15 percent, outpacing overall u.s. household growth of 10 percent. Other contributing factors to RV market growth are low interest rates, long term financing and the lure of the great outdoors. RVs can be financed for periods of 10, 15 and in some cases even 20 years, resulting in low monthly payments and tax deductible interest. RV vacations are more affordable than travel by personal car, commercial airline or cruise ship, according to vacation cost-comparison studies by PKF Consulting. Even factoring in RV ownership costs, and considering resulting tax benefits, a family of four can spend up to 70 percent less when traveling by RV.

What exactly is an RV? RVIA describes an RV as a vehicle that combines transportation and temporary living quarters for travel, recreation and camping. RVs come in many different types, sizes and price ranges. Some are very basic starting around $ 4,500 providing sleeping arrangements and cooking facilities. On the other end of the spectrum there are $1,000,000 plus luxury land yachts on wheels.

RVs are categorized as either motorized or towable. Motorized RVs are built on a vehicle chassis and powered by either a gasoline or diesel engine. There are three classifications for motorized RVs, type A, B, and C. type A motor homes are the largest of the three ranging from 25 to 45 feet. They are the ones you see that look similar to a bus, and depending on the price they can be equipped with features like washers and dryers, multiple slide out rooms, satellite dishes, home entertainment systems and much more. type B motor homes are the smallest of the three ranging from 16 to 20 feet. They are conversion vans that have been modified and equipped with all of the comforts and amenities found in other RVs in a compact size. type C motor homes also referred to as mini-motor homes are built on a cutaway van chassis and range in size from 20 to 31 feet.

Towable RVs are towed behind a vehicle then disconnected and set up when you arrive at your destination. This allows you the benefit of using the tow vehicle to make a trip to the store, or go sight seeing while you are camping. Towable RVs include folding camping trailers, truck campers, travel trailers and 5th wheel travel trailers. Folding camping trailers, often referred to as pop-ups, are the least expensive RV and the lightest in weight. Some pop-ups offer the basic essentials while others come equipped with features like a water heater, bathroom, furnace and refrigerator. When set up they can range in size from 15 to 24 feet. Truck campers are campers loaded onto the bed of a pickup truck. This makes for a very versatile RV that can access back roads and remote areas other RVs can't get to. travel Trailers are a popular choice among RVers because of the wide array of floor plans available. Whether its for two people or eight you can find a model that will suit your needs. They range in size from 15 to 35 feet and offer all the comforts of home. Fifth wheel travel trailers are the ones you see that extend over the bed of the pickup or custom tow vehicle. Because of their bi-level design 5th wheels offer the most living space of any towable RV and are often times the choice for full-timing RVers. They range in size from 21 to 40 feet.

traveling by RV makes even more sense when you take into account there are over 16,000 campgrounds, both public and private, for RVers to use in the united States. We also have 367 national parks that offer over 400 campgrounds with 29,000 campsites and our 156 national forests offer more than 4,000 campgrounds. While you visit these campgrounds across the u.s. you don't need to be concerned about staying in touch with your family and business contacts. On a travel Channel program titled Secrets of RVs hosts and publishers of former RV Companion magazine, Mike and Beverly Wieber, discussed the latest technology for RVs involving in motion satellite systems and high speed internet access. With this technology you can access online maps, travel information, and weather reports. More and more campgrounds are offering telephone connections as part of their full hook-up and the latest trend is to provide RVers with wireless high speed internet access at the campground.

If you're concerned about purchasing an RV only to find out the RV lifestyle is not meant for you try renting one before you buy. There are over 400 national rental chain outlets and RV dealerships that rent all types of RVs. Another way to learn more about RVs is to attend a local RV retail show or visit an RV dealer near you. For more information about rentals, RV shows, and RVs in general visit www.RVIA.org. To locate an RV dealer check your yellow pages or visit www.rvda.org. So what are you waiting for? Come join the other 30 million RV enthusiasts in America and remember wherever you go you're always at home. Happy Camping, Mark

Universal Law Of Attraction

Universal Laws of Attraction

The Universal Laws of Attraction suggest that you can have anything you want, that you can be anything you want and that you can do anything you want, that life is a choice and that you are the driver.

So what is the Universal Law of Attraction?

The Universal Law of Attraction is the underlying principal that governs what becomes your reality. It states that what you focus on you receive more of. It makes no difference to the law of attraction weather you are focusing on the outcome that you do not want or focusing on the outcome you want - whatever you focus on, especially if it's over an extended time becomes your reality. You and I shape our lives and our reality by the goals and desires that fill our heart and mind. True, but only if we feel with all of our heart that we will achieve our desires, and we are able to "see" that those things will come to us .

Basic

At every instant, including right now, you're sending a positive or negative vibration to the universe. Think of yourself as a magnet attracting every circumstance into your life. Learn to control what you're thinking and feeling and you'll see that the results are truly amazing.

Because vibrations attract similar vibrations. It is the universal law.

Try to eliminate words like "don't, not, and no" from your vocabulary. The universe doesn't understand these words. Constantly thinking thoughts like "I don't want bills in my mailbox" is like asking the universe to put bills into your mailbox. Learn to go from what you don't want to what you do want and then the vibration will change.

Law Of Attraction in 5 steps

# Discover, Uncover, and Refine Your Passions

Getting clear on what your passions are is key to building and maintaining the motivation to reach your dreams. Thus, ask yourself what you want to achieve in life and constantly focus on it.

# Ask for what you want

What does it mean to ask for what you want? It means to make an emotional connection to your desires. Make them matter. Give them meaning. Feel them. Make a commitment to them.

# Living in the future. The power of imagination

The core of the law of attraction is imagination. Use your imagination to experience yourself in your future, full of your passionate dreams. Imagination can make that future real and vivid to us now.

# Be grateful for what you have, and what you're asking for

The Law of Attraction is about focusing your entire self toward a goal, without hesitation, blame, or diversions.Genuine gratitude reflects my complete acceptance of the value of something to me. When you accept that something is of real value to you, you stop resisting it.

# Plan, take action, and listen for something better

Lastly, Take action!
Some people find their passion, ask for it, move toward abundance, imagine their desired future, practice gratitude but don't take action

Nicholas Ho is a firm believer and practitioner of Law Of Attraction. He aims to provide the best resources and information about Law Of Attraction and how to successfully use it to dramatically improve their life. You can share with Nicholas about your opinion about Law of Attraction in Nicholas' website plus gain access to FREE Law of Attraction Report worth US$97. ----> http://www.scienceofgettingprosperous.com
